Today, Andrea put on Christ

In the Methodist Church, we baptise infants by sprinkling their little heads with water. This is to bring the baby into the family of God as early as possible. The church and the family say beautiful vows of how we will raise her in the church and to know God. United Methodists then have confirmation around the beginning of the teenage years where we confirm our faith by attending classes to become well-informed about the religion we are choosing for ourselves as "adults". We remember our baptism at that time. Andrea was baptised today, and it was a very special day that many of our family members attended. We are so greatful that so many found the time to make the journey to Indiana for this special occasion.

Reds game

Andrea's first basebal game (sadly) was not as Wrigley field, but at the Great American Ballpark in Cinncinati. The Reds won, and have been a good team to watch this year suprisingly! We met Craig and younger brother Andy there to enjoy a night at the ballpark. Andrea was great! She ate, she watched, and slept most of the game!

More cookout pics and from SC trip!

jill

Dawn came by to meet Andrea. Dawn's first name is Andrea, so she is in a way her name sake! Dawn was and still is a great friend and I am sure Andrea will be proud that they have the same name when I tell her all of our great stories from HS and Clemson! Dawn recently got married, another one of my friends joins me in my great adventure. Laura, another friend just informed me that she is engaged! Such an exciting time, I am looking forward to 4 more engagments of friends in the (hopefully near) future!

Cookout at Meg's

Meghan and Eric definitly bought a house fit for a party. We had a great one Labor Day weekend sunday. We had burger and hotdogs, tasty sides and delictable desserts. Then we went swimming and finished it off with some great conversation and games. The dogs all got to come as well, we got to meet the Epley's new puppy, the chocolate lab named Hershey.

Clemson Tailgate

Andrea's first Clemson tailgate was a very relaxing day. It wasn't hot under the big tree where we set up... but the stick bugs were plentiful! Kristen and Jennifer were the last of the girls to meet little Andrea in person. Clemson won by A LOT, so a great day all around (even if it was just to Florida Atlantic).

Andrea and the sippy cup

The doctor okayed Andrea for juice, so we have been giving it to her in many different ways. We have put it in her cereal, in a bottle, and in a sippy cup. She LOVES apple juice, so she worked at the sippy cup as hard as she could to get a drink. It took her a bit, but she did figure it out!

Grogg reunion

The end of summer Grogg reunion is always held at Joe and Diana's beautiful house. This year was a crazy year for them... they were blessed with an adorable grandson and then Diana was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has been so strong through the Chemo and surgery. I am so glad we were able to still have the reunion at their house. Thank-you so much for having us this year! I know it was a tiring day but we all had so much fun! We continue to pray for you, but also have a renewed spirit just being able to talk to and spend time with you guys!

Clemson girl!!!

At 5 months, Andrea is already supporting the Tigers! I hope we get to go to at least one game this year...
Doesn't she look so into the paw???

Andrea's favorite toys at 5 months

Andrea really loves this "gloworm" like pooh doll that makes music and glows when you push its tummy. I think she enjoys the fact that she can almost work it by herself! She also loves her excersaucer. It makes lots of fun noises!

Grogg Gambling weekend

Every year, Michael's mom, dad, brother, aunt, uncle, and cousins (and guests) come in for a fun weekend of gambling. It is purposefully the last weekend in July because that is in the middle of many of their birthdays. This year, Sherry celebrated the big 5-0! She definitely doesn't look her age! The gambling didn't go as well this year as it has in years past, but you win some you lose some...

Cutting Teeth is hard work!

Andrea is busy cutting her first tooth! She is drooling and has a runny nose and whines more than usual, but other than that she is doing well with it. Hopefully it will cut through soon and it will be over with for a while...

Playtime - 4 months

Andrea loves her toys! She also loves to stand with the help of anyone. She has finally decided to roll over for us, however she doesn't do it much because she always want to be sitting or standing. She talks and coos a lot, and everyone who meets her emjoys her beautiful smile. She takes her naps with Buzzer and loves it because he keeps her warm and cozy.
